Server Ranks

Guest
All new players begin as Guests. The Guest has a number of maps at their disposal at which they can freely start building.

Builders
The Builders are Guests which have proven they are serious about building and not here to Grief. You may find that you won't immediately be promoted to Guest after have built something as we want to make sure we do not accidentally promote a Griefer.

Advanced Builders
The Advanced Builder is a Builder who have shown dedication to the Server and thus is ready for the next step. With more power also comes more responsibility. We expect our Advanced Builders to assist our Operators by checking out the builds of Guests and Builders, to recommend people who are up for promotions. Also we expect the Advanced Builders to assist if Builders are in need of help.

Operators
The Operators are the ones that keep this Server up and running. They help fighting the Griefers by undoing their actions and possibly banning them from the Server. They also help maintain a clean community where people are friendly towards eachother and respectful.

Although the Operators are here to assist if you have problems, they are not here to assist you with how to build, copy or move your builds to another map, create protected Zones and to do similar tasks for you. If you have a problem that you cannot solve, feel free to contact an Operator. But if you need something done, which an advanced builder can do, please do not contant the Operators with this task. They got enough on their hands already without doing trivial tasks that most players can do anyways.

Super Op / Admin
The Super Ops are the "last line of defense". Do not contact a Super Op if an Operator is online. The same rules apply here. Do not contact unless you have a problem.

• 1.0 Behaviour
  
  1.1 Please keep the chat clean for profanity and do not offend other people
  
  1.1.1 Do not use profane words in your account. It will be banned.
  
  1.2 If Griefed, report it to an Operator or Advanced Builder rather than griefing back
  
  1.2.1 Griefing Back will be seen as griefing and may get you kicked
  
  1.3 Do not speak in CAPITALS. This is considered yelling and is both rude and very annoying.
  
  1.3.1 Emphasising words in capitals are of course allowed
  1.3.2 If other players do not reply when you ask in the chat, try asking again rather than writing with capitals
  
  1.4 Do not ask for Promotions
  
  1.4.1 Operators and Advanced Builders will notice your work and eventually promote you to Builder and possible also Advanced Builder
  
  1.5 Do not ask for Operators to come see your buildings. They are here to run the server and make sure people behave and get along as well as help out if need be. They do not have time to run around to check out your buildings, nor are they here to do that.
  
  1.5.1 Do NOT keep asking people to come see your buildings. They too may be busy with their own works. If you keep asking for verification, the Operators may think you build only to rank up rather than to contribute to the server and have fun, in which case your promotion may be delayed a long time
  
  1.5.1.2 To be promoted for a building alone, you have to do something out of the ordinary. Promotion won't happen just because you made a square brick building with a door and two windows
  Neither will a large number of buildings automatically give you a promotion
  
  
  1.6 No advertisement of other servers
  
  1.6.1 Mentioning another server is ok but discuss it another place than on this server (take it to the forums)
  
  1.7 When an Admin or Op is not showing as online, consider him or her as offline
  
  1.7.1 Operators may choose to hide if need be. A hidden op is considered as being offline and should not be spoken to in public chat as if the person is actually online.
  1.7.2 Hidden ops may easily choose to ignore anyone calling them out by name or if people are claiming they are hiding and being online
  
  1.7.2.1 An Operator may have chosen to hide for several reasons, including spying on Griefers or if being busy with other things. These ops are not to be disturbed.
  
  1.7.2.2 To see the list of online ops, type /players and see if any admin or ops are online
  
  
  1.8 Do not teleport (/tp) to Administrators or Operators without their consent. This is considered rude and a disturbance. Doing so will only make the OP change their status to hidden, in which case he or she will no longer be available to assist you or anyone else.

• 2.0 Ranks and Promotions
  
  2.1 Everyone begins as a Guest with Free Building on the Guest maps
  2.2 Promotion to Builder and Advanced Builder happens on recommendations from other Advanced Builders and Operators
  2.3 Asking for Promotion will only put you back in the line, so don't ask
  2.4 Promotion is not based only on the quality or quantity of your buildings, but also on your ability to behave on the Server

• 3.0 Building Rules
  
  3.1 Respect other peoples work
  
  3.1.1 Do not ruin or tear down other people buildings
  3.1.2 Not everyone are equally skilled, so please do not criticize other peoples work
  
  3.2 Do not build anything that can be interpreted as offensive, including (but not limited to) nudity, profane drawings and words or anything of sexual nature
  
  3.2.1 This includes, but is not limited to, Religious Symbols, Swaztikas (Nazi Symbols), Nudity or Profanity
  
  3.2.1.1 Exceptions to this may include Religious Symbols used when creating Buildings that require them (for instance if you build a Mosque or a Church)
  3.2.1.2 No Swaztikas are allowed at all
  
  
  3.3 Do not add Cold Water or other killing-blocks to the Free Building Maps. This will considered as griefing as they can be to great dismay for other players

• 4.0 Operators
  
  4.1 Not everyone becomes an Operator
  
  4.1.1 Existing Operators will, together, select who gets to become an Operator, selected from our active Advanced Builders
  
  4.2 Be fair to everyone and do not kick people just because they remove a brick or two from a Building that isn't theirs. Everyone makes mistakes
  4.3 Before kicking a Griefer, unless they are being very destructive, please give them a warning that they will get kicked if they do not stop. Should they not pay attention or ignore this warning, they can be kicked
  
  4.3.1 Please specify a reason when kicking people (use /kick player reason)
  
  4.4 Please try not to use the BANIP command as it may block more than just the one griefer, as many people can connect from the same IP Address (for instance if playing from an Institution or large Office Building)
  
  4.4.1 In case the BanIP is required, please send a message to the Admin by using the SEND command. After a few days the admin will unban the IP again to prevent non-griefing people from the same IP Address to being unable to connect

Please use Common Sense when playing Minecraft on this Server. Respect the people who are building here and treat them like they were your friends.

If in doubt of any of the rules, do not hesitate to ask in the chat where other players and operators will be able to assist you.

Also, if you need assistance, do not be a stranger and feel free to ask in the chat. As long as you don't expect operators to come help you build your house. Maybe, if they got time to spare, they will. But that is not the real reason they are operators

If you cannot play by these rules you may receive a warning depending on the situation. In serious cases you may risk being kicked off the Server and in severe cases you may also risk a ban. But if you are a friendly player who behaves well and treats everyone like a friend, I am sure you will feel at home on this Server[list=1][*]
